To answer your email questions:

School isn't happening this year. We didn't match with Matt's hospital until March, so I missed the deadlines. Will reapply for 2008. I'll get a job doing acupuncture at a doc's office.

I LOVE the new house. Nesting like a maniac. :) PA is green and gorgeous and the people are megafriendly. The city of Philly has roads worthy of the Dark Ages but some damn good cheesesteaks. It's fun going in but I am SO glad we decided to live rural.

Fig finally remembered he's a Coon Cat and not a Coon Cowerer. He's back to normal instead of acting like a psychotic PTSD Vietnam vet. Blackberry loves the porch, where she can lord over the local rabble (rabbits). We have at least 16 legs in the bed every night and everyone's happy.

Craigslist has been a goldmine of cheap / free furniture. My art room has 4 new matching Ikea pieces, for which I paid a total of $40. Great oak table & chairs (Yes! We have a table to eat on now!) for $50. My parents are visiting Fri-Sun so I am determined to have the house at least superficially finished by then. That means pics by Fri! :)

The only bad news has been the movers. They damaged all sorts of stuff and LOST a huge Rubbermaid tub containing my best roving. All of my alpaca, llama, merino, and even some silk hankies. Nothing irreplacable, of course, but I had hunted this stuff down and you all know what a notorious cheapskate I am. I really mourn for the black teenage alpaca - I had enough to make a cardigan and was working on a design.

Oh well - the important bit is that we are all safe and happy. And Fig is shedding enough to replace the bin of roving, anyway.

To this day I can't figure out how movers "lose" so much stuff in such a short time!! Glad everything is going well in your new place, though. Sounds like you live in a pretty area!

I do not understand how they lose stuff like that. And the fiber! They should be shot! And to charge what they did on top of it they should be fed to ferrets.

Love yous!

Heather

Lost fiber? No!! I will have to send out that grey wool asap. Did you end up having to pay the jacked up price?

It amazes me.. they put it on the truck. Did it fall threw a black hole somewhere in Wyoming? or wherever!?
Glad your home and safe. Sounds like things are coming together.
We all miss you terribly on Saturday mornings.
Looking forward to Pictures

The truck had lots of people's stuff on it. I think it got tangled in someone else's section. They also lost the support poles for my Metro rack, so that's useless. Grrrr!

What - how could they loose the roving!? Don't they know how precious that is?

Glad to see you settling in. Want some fleece? I think I can find some around here to send your way! :) I just "discovered" locker hook rug making and it is fun fun fun!

So now someone has a Rubbermaid container full of fiber and thinking, "Who stuck this crap in my stuff?" Assweasels.

It's good that your Coon Cat is now settling in (as well as your other varmints). You'll have to send me your snail mail addy so I can send Christmas cards and other treats.

You probably discovered this by now, but there are some nifty laws out there that say you don't have to pay more than 100-110% of the quoted moving price. Of course, that might just be to get your stuff and you may have to fight out the rest... I dunno. But I hope you didn't get completely screwed!

I'm sorry but You've been TAGGED:

The rules of the meme game are: If you are tagged, list 7 random things about yourself on your blog, then tag 7 others, listing their names on your blog. Leave a note in their blog comments so they know they've been tagged and to read your blog.

Sorry, Annie, but I escape under the Double Jeopardy rule! I was tagged before and posted on December 23, 2006. Still, that was only 6 things, so I'll give you another:

I woke up with a rabbit on my chest this morning.

Miss you!!!

Hey girl, now that your in Philly, I'll have to show you around.

Oh, and I've got some yarn. DS picked it up after a yard sale (they were giving away whatever was left). I said, "What do you expect me to do with that?" I have no clue how to knit anything!

Hey Lilly! Hope you don't mind I stole that post from you. As for your yarn, bring it on! :)
